🚓 Riverside Beat Team – A Week in Action! 🚓

It’s been another busy week for your Riverside Beat officers, working hard to keep our communities safe and supported.

⚽ World Cup

 Our officers assisted with policing both the World Cup Final and England’s 3rd place play-off match. We're pleased to report that the tournament concluded on a positive note, with both events passing safely and without incident, and England secured their best result since ’66.

🏥 Leicester Royal Infirmary Patrols 

PC Fabian attended the Leicester Royal Infirmary following reports of a discharged patient causing a nuisance on site. The individual was dealt with appropriately and removed from the premises.

🚨 Proactive Police Work Near DMU 

After spotting two males acting suspiciously around the DMU campus, officers carried out stop searches. Drugs were found in the possession of both individuals, and appropriate action was taken.

🤝 Supporting Vulnerable People 

Working alongside Social Care partners, officers visited a vulnerable person to help ensure they are receiving the right support and services to meet their needs.

👮‍♂️ Tackling Ongoing Issues Through Partnership Working

 Officers attended a multi-agency meeting at Leicester Royal Infirmary with the hospital’s security management team. These meetings are invaluable for addressing ongoing concerns, gathering evidence, and progressing applications for Criminal Behaviour Orders where appropriate.

🏡 Community Engagement at Jarrom Court 

PCs Callum and Merryn served a court summons on an individual before heading to Jarrom Court to speak with residents, listen to local concerns, and share crime prevention advice.

🎓 Keeping DMU Safe

Our dedicated DMU officer, PC Jess, has been busy gathering evidence linked to recent incidents in the area. She's also looking ahead and planning for the new academic year to help ensure students and staff continue to feel safe on campus.
